That will be amazing
Great!!!
Will it have webmaster functions?
more people have Android than iphone
that is good news will it also give you the option to upload pics and edit ext?
When will the Android version be available?
What about Android??????
Why are us Android users so overlooked??
I know I use my android phone to change website already when I need to, I dont know if Iphones can do that. It is normal for iphone to come out with apps first as well. I am still interested if an app is done for android.
i can change it on my iphone so what is the app for?
Android dominates. In the UK, Android had 62.5% of sales, up from 49.9% a year .
This is a great idea- can't wait for the launch.
So many negative comments! Its great that there is an app - if it means even a small proportion of our members can access their info quickly and easily on the go and get updates and messages more efficiently. I'm sure an android app will follow if there is good takeup and feedback.
As I understand it the 1st release will be just a viewing app that is a lot more user friendly to view on your phone rather than viewing the website on your phone and a later release will include editing abilities. Hope someone at pitchero will confirm this.
All looking positive and will certainly be well received from folk I've spoke to, especially players who use their phone more than a PC.
Sure Android will follow!!???
I think that it is a good idea that Pitchero is going mobile. I think that the app is a good idea and I agree with Jo Young because people CAN go on their info quickly and Team Admins and Webmasters can put inportant posts on for thier teams quicker then having to open a web browser and putting in the web address etc. I hope that the app is a massive hit because people use thier phones now more than computers or laptops.
What about Android. Most of our supporters and players have moved to Android now..
I do agree with you there like. I am on Android and I do understand what you mean. It should be fair for everyone who is on Android or on I-Phone.
you can access on android already - the app will probably make it slicker - if they had gone android people would have said 'what about i-phone' I think its cracking!
really great news! can't wait!
Fantastic
This will be fantastic.Pitchero is the best football club website out there and now to go mobile will make even more exceptional.
Webmaster access is a must, great to hear the announcement.
Will be great to have this as a app on my iphone.
ok so this is just a pitchero app? I was lead to believe that they will offer apps for each club
Gavin Hegarty - You set the app up so it defaults to your club through your log in details.
when is an android version available?
ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT - have recommended that everyone in our club who has an iDevice downloads it. Really good work - it's simple and neat and does exactly what it says on the tin. A big thank you to the development team.
Fingers crossed for an Android version soon.
It's a good start and there's a lot to like about the app. I particularly like the way it's so easy to update availability. I notice that it carries through team preferences from the site - would be good if you could choose them on the app to as some players are yet to get that far on the website. It's great that you can add games directly to our calendar. Loving that there's so much there already but doesn't mean I won't ask for more.
What I'd like to see:
- admin access (promised in an update but no timeframe offered)
- league tables - if they are there I haven't seen them
- photo uploading for players
- links to social networks for sharing direct from the app
- ability to download photos
- don't appear to be able to rotate in gallery - everything is stuck in portrait and no zooming
Couple of questions. In terms of sponsorship for our club we rely on being able to quote click throughs on the website, how is your encouragement of a mobile app going to affect this? Secondly, I have already been contacted by two members of our webiste who object to their having installed the app and joined the website being broadcast in the news feed. How are you going to address the privacy issues this brings? Is their installing the app really an item for the website activity feed?
Who would object to that a news feed? If you install the app without clicking through from the website then nothing appears
We are now looking at our SMS facility. Can anyone tell me how to change the name on it? At the moment it comes up as an english number but we need it to display the club name
