Pitch Preparation Fund open for football

A new £9.56m Pitch Preparation Fund is open for applications until 9am on Monday 25 May.

The Football Foundation’s grants of up to £5,000 (depending on criteria) are for clubs and communities to get their natural and artificial pitches prepared for when the government permits football to be played again.

blog-fa-parklife-project-thorncliffe-3g-pitch-5Those who apply must be a club or organisation with a minimum of 12 months’ security of tenure over the pitches they wish to improve by freehold, leasehold or licence, and have the legal responsibility for maintaining them.

Any pitch work that has been completed since The FA suspended football on 16 March 2020 is eligible to be funded.

To read the full guidelines and apply online, visit The Football Foundation’s Pitch Preparation Fund page of their website.
