Pitchero and Kate Richardson-Walsh have teamed up this summer as we empower more people to take part in the sports that they love.
A frequent user of Pitchero from her playing days with Reading Hockey Club, Kate has joined Pitchero as an Ambassador for 2017. Over the coming weeks, we'll be getting into the mind of an Olympic winning captain, inspiring grassroots members of all sports to get out on the pitch and be the best.

At the launch of the partnership, Kate explained why her previous links with Pitchero were a significant factor to wanting to become an Ambassador for us.
“We used Pitchero all the time when I was at Reading Hockey Club. We used it for training, for match availability, paying subs and to see what events and clinics were going on at the club. It really created a community atmosphere at the club.
The reason I love Pitchero, and the reason I wanted to get involved, was because it's all about empowering young boys and girls, and everyone, to get involved in our sport.”
Grassroots sport contains thousands of grassroots heroes, volunteering for their clubs, performing for their teams and making their sport what it is. Together with Kate, we want inspire and empower the next generation of sports stars; something which our CEO Mark Fletcher said was key to beginning this partnership.
“Kate is a great sporting Ambassador, she’s achieved everything. Importantly for us, she's someone who has used the product and understands the challenges in grassroots sport.
She’s the perfect fit to help us shine the spotlight on the thousands of lower-league heroes across the country, playing a multitude of sports including hockey, football, rugby and cricket.”
