The importance of your teammates

The 54 miles from city to coast, that make up London to Brighton Bike Ride can be a daunting thought for some. Although we believe that anyone can do it; it’s an achievable challenge, all you need is your team riding by your side.

As you make your way to the start line, in the early morning summer sun, the nerves start to kick in. The day of the ride has finally arrived. It’s just you and your bike, until you hear a familiar voice from across the common, your team mates have arrived and the nerves disappear. As you greet each other, you’re filled with excitement and together you’re ready to ride

As you cycle through the beautiful Sussex countryside, making memories along the way, you begin to prepare yourself for the Beacon. The infamous hill that you and your team have trained so hard for is waiting for you and you’re ready to ride. With each push of your pedal your team are there cheering you on, supporting each other up the hill. It’s the encouragement right by your side that gets you to the top. The high fives, hugs and cheers at the top in celebration as you’ve all beaten the Beacon! Not forgetting to take that all important selfie…the group shot with the epic view!

The final stretch to the finish line, you can smell the sea air! In your team, side by side you all ride over the finish line to cheers from the crowd, congratulations from volunteers and hugs from family and friends. You all make your way to the beach village where you relax and raise your glass to your teammates with a well-deserved drink.  Cheers to the best team!

When you’re riding with your teammates, the nerves disappear, you conquer the hills and you celebrate together. London to Brighton Bike Ride is about teams coming together, making memories for a lifetime and achieving the unthinkable.

So sign up your team today for London to Brighton Bike Ride, June 16 and together, we ride.
