We’re making BIG improvements to player availability in Pitchero, giving players more flexibility when responding and giving club admins a clearer view of who is available for each event.
The new event-based availability update is now open for BETA.
It is designed specifically for those days when a team or player has more than one fixture, training session or event scheduled.
We know that managing availability can be challenging, particularly when players have multiple fixtures or training sessions scheduled on the same day.
That's why we've been working on a smarter, more flexible approach that gives players greater control over their responses and provides coaches and managers with a much clearer picture of who's available for each event.
And the best part? We're giving clubs the opportunity to test this exciting new feature before its wider launch!
Set availability for individual events
Currently, players set their availability for the whole day. While this works well when there's only one event scheduled, it doesn't always reflect the busy schedules of sports clubs.
That's about to change!
With our new event-based availability feature, players will be able to choose whether to set their availability for the whole day or respond separately to individual events.
For example, a player might be available for a morning training session but unavailable for an afternoon fixture.
Rather than providing one response for the entire day, they'll now be able to make their availability clear for each event.
It's a fantastic improvement that gives players more flexibility and helps clubs collect more accurate availability information.
A clearer, smarter Availability screen for admins
And there's more good news for coaches, managers and club admins.
Alongside the new player options, we're also introducing improvements to the Availability screen, designed to give admins a clearer view of player responses.
When multiple events are scheduled on the same day, you'll be able to see more clearly which players are available for each fixture or training session.
That means less uncertainty when organising your teams and better information to support squad planning, training schedules and team selection.
Another great Pitchero upgrade designed to help clubs stay organised and make the most of their time.

Quick and easy for players to update their availability
We've made sure the new feature is simple and straightforward for players to use, too!
Through the Pitchero Club app, players can quickly update their availability for individual fixtures and training sessions in just a few taps. Whether their plans change or they need to respond to multiple events on the same day, it's easy to keep their availability up to date. No complicated steps, just more flexibility and control for players, helping coaches and managers stay informed and plan with confidence.

Get your club ready
With greater flexibility comes an opportunity to make sure everyone is using availability in the same way.
As players will be able to respond to individual fixtures, it's important they understand that availability should reflect when they're genuinely available to play, rather than which team or fixture they'd prefer to take part in.
Setting these expectations early will help coaches and managers get the most accurate information when planning squads and selecting teams.
