Running a sports club takes enough time already, so we’re continually investing in Pitchero to give volunteers better tools, more flexibility and a more professional online presence.
Over the last week, we’ve released a steady stream of improvements across the Club App, club websites, Social Cards and availability tools, with more already on the way.
And every one of these improvements is included as part of your existing Pitchero package.
Here are four of the latest developments and what they mean for your club.
Stay organised with the latest Club App improvements
We’ve added two new updates to the Club App to help admins, coaches and team managers keep on top of everyday club activity this week.
Messenger now includes filters, giving you more control when creating conversations and group chats.
Admins can also now prompt players who have responded Maybe to update their availability, helping teams get a clearer picture ahead of fixtures and training sessions.
These are small but useful improvements designed to make the Club App work better around the way clubs operate every week.

More freedom to share your club content

We’ve also made Social Cards more flexible.
Clubs can now share Social Cards to any supported app installed on their device, rather than being limited to a fixed selection of platforms.
That gives volunteers more choice over where matchday graphics are published and how they are shared with supporters.
You can also now set the opposition line-up and include that information within your Social Cards, giving you more options when sharing team news and matchday content.
A clearer way to manage busy matchdays is coming

Event-based availability is also on the way.
If a player has multiple events on the same day, they’ll be able to choose whether to set their availability for the whole day or respond to each event individually.
For example, they could be available for a morning training session but unavailable for an afternoon fixture.
Admins will also get a cleaner Availability screen, making it much easier to see who is available for each event when several activities are taking place on the same day.
The result is more flexible responses for players and clearer information for the people planning squads and sessions.
We’ve been upgrading your club website

Some of the biggest improvements have been happening across Pitchero club websites.
If you’ve been using Pitchero for a while, you may have noticed individual pages changing over recent months. Behind the scenes, we’ve been systematically refreshing the club website experience, page by page.
Pages covering areas such as teams, fixtures, match reports, sponsors, club information, documents and more have all been updated to create a cleaner, more consistent and more professional experience.
These changes are important because your website is often the first thing a new player, parent, sponsor or opposition club sees.
We want every Pitchero club to have an online presence it can be proud of.
There are already some great examples across Pitchero. Reading Hockey Club, Boston United and Harrogate Rugby are all making excellent use of their websites and filling the upgraded pages with useful, high-quality club content.

More improvements, included in your package
These updates are part of our ongoing investment in Pitchero.
We’re continually looking at how clubs use the platform, where we can make things clearer and where new features can help volunteers manage and promote their club more effectively.
And importantly, there’s no additional charge for these developments, they’re all included as part of your Pitchero package.
Take a few minutes to explore your Club App and website, try the latest features and make sure your club is getting the most from everything now available.
